RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE LEGAL AUTHORITY TO APPLY AND PARTICIPATE IN THE 2023 KANSAS HOUSING RESOURCES CORPORATION MODERATE INCOME HOUSING PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AND SUBMIT SUCH AN APPLICATION
WHEREAS, The City of McPherson, Kansas, is a legal governmental entity as provided by the laws of the STATE OF KANSAS, and
WHEREAS, The City of McPherson, Kansas intends to submit an application for assistance from the 2023 KANSAS HOUSING RESOURCES CORPORATION MODERATE INCOME HOUSING PROGRAM under the category of MIH-ARPA.
THE APPLICANT hereby certifies that the City of McPherson, Kansas, is a legal governmental entity under the status of the laws of the STATE OF KANSAS and thereby has the authority to apply for assistance from the 2023 KANSAS HOUSING RESOURCES CORPORATION MODERATE INCOME HOUSING PROGRAM.
THE APPLICANT hereby authorizes the MAYOR of McPherson, Kansas, to act as the applicant’s official representative in signing and submitting an application for assistance to the 2023 KANSAS HOUSING RESOURCES CORPORATION MODERATE INCOME HOUSING PROGRAM.
As Chief Elected Official of the City of McPherson, I hereby certify that I have knowledge of all activities in the above -referenced application.
The City of McPherson intends to authorize creation and usage of a Rural Housing Incentive District which will rebate an estimated amount of $2,105,510 to pay for infrastructure costs to serve as match funds towards the South Deerfield Homes Project that will create forty (40) new single-family homes and provide additional space for a critically needed community daycare.
