PROJECT PERFORMANCE PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The City of McPherson, Kansas will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 9:15 am in the City Commissioners Meeting Room located at 400 Kansas, McPherson, Kansas for the purpose of evaluating the performance of Grant No. 20-CV-044 which was for the Economic Development CV Grant financial assistance grant for businesses impacted in the City.
The proposed project was for small businesses located within McPherson City Limits in the amount of $300,000. The proposed project will consist of funds for working capital, inventory, wages, rent, and other similar expenses.
The project consisted of the City receiving $124,500 in Economic Development CV Grant funds and awarded 12 business grants of $10,000 each and 1 business grant of$4,500 and 32 full time and 52 part time jobs were retained.
Total project cost was $132,000 with grant funding of $132,000. The grant was funded, all or in part, from the Kansas Department of Commerce Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. All aspects of the grant will be discussed, and oral and written comments will be recorded and become a part of the City of McPherson’s CDBG Citizen Participation Plan.
