  6. With the holiday season approaching, who doesn’t love to look at Christmas lights? Whether you think your house is the best in town and want to brag to all your neighbors or you’re just looking for something fun/festive to do with friends/family, the city’s first-ever McPherson The Great Light Fight Holiday Lights Contest has something for everyone.

  8. How it works

    If you would like your house judged in The Great Light Fight, you have until November 28 to register your home. You can register here or by calling the parks office at (620) 245.2565.

    Once registration closes, the staff will post a list of all participating houses on Facebook and the City website, along with a link to vote for your favorite houses. 

    Categories to vote on will include

    • Griswold Award: Because you can never have too many lights and Inflatables!  
    • WOW Factor Display 
    • Brightest Display 
    • Best Overall Display
