4. Pre-application for Deerfield South Single Family Homes

   This application must be filled out completely to be considered for funding. This is a pre-application and gives the City of McPherson authorization to reach out for further information. 

   Steps in the application process: 

   1. 1. Turn in your pre-application
   2. The City of McPherson will reach out to you to gather more information, including your Tax Return, a pre-qualification letter from your bank, proof of downpayment funds, etc.
   3. The City will work with SCKEDD (South Central Kansas Economic Development District) to determine whether you qualify.
   4. If you qualify, the City will connect you with the developer and provide you with information on how to proceed purchasing your home.

    If the City of McPherson follows up with your pre-application, the following items will be required in order to continue the application/enrollment process. 

    Required for eligibility. 

    • Full copy of latest Federal Tax Return

    Required for enrollment

    • Commitment letter from financial institution for maximum mortgage amount. 

    • Proof of down payment funds as calculated by Deerfield South representative. 

    Required for home reservation

    • Executed purchase contract with deposit of $2,000 earnest money.
