Message from Commissioner Gary Mehl

I have made McPherson home most of my life. I graduated from all primary and secondary McPherson schools, met my wife here, married here, my three children were born here and graduated from McPherson schools. I worked for The McPherson Sentinel for forty-five years and retired in 2010. I’m about as McPherson as you can get!

The reason I decided to run for City Commissioner was simply to give back to this community that has given so much to me. I’ve made great friends along my journey and appreciate the business and industrial community that continues to flourish in this great community we call home. Hopefully I’ll be able to contribute to McPhersons continued success in a meaningful way as your Commissioner of Public Facilities.
