WHEREAS, the City of McPherson has been informed by Twinland II, LLC .. that a Kansas Housing Income Tax Credit (KHITC) application has been filed with the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) for development of an moderate income housing project known as Deerfield South Homes on property legally described as:
A PORTION OF DEERFIELD ESTATES WEST PHASE REPLAT, BLOCK 5, LOTS 15 THROUGH 25 AND LOT 31; BLOCK 6, LOTS 11 THROUGH 16; BLOCK 7, LOTS 11 THROUGH 23; BLOCK 8, LOTS 1 THROUGH 9, INCLUSIVE SECTION 34 TOWNSHIP 19 RANGE 03,
WHEREAS, Deerfield South Homes will be new construction and contain a total of forty ( 40) residential single family homes with price points focused on middle income households.
WHEREAS, Deerfield South Homes will have the following amenities: single family homes with approximately 1,400 square feet, more or less, built on a slab with protected saferoom (full basement optional), typically with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and two-car garage designed for small to medium-sized families
WHEREAS, the City of McPherson has agreed in principal to consider allowance of approximately $2,105,510 in infrastructure costs based on a net present value of$1,400,000 to repaid over an extended period not to exceed 18 years through the use of the Rural Housing Incentive District (RHID) Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Commission of McPherson, Kansas,
supports and approves the development of Deerfield South Homes in our community, subject to city ordinances, various development approvals, formal RHID designation and development agreement, and the building permit process. This Resolution is effective until May 23, 2024. In the event any of the characteristics mentioned above should change prior to approval of any Kansas Housing Income Tax Credits by Kansas Housing Resource Corporation, this Resolution is null and void.
