We will widen the existing roadway to 32’ back of curb to back of curb, install street drainage and mill and overlay the street. The project was awarded to Conspec Inc. dba Kansas Paving, Wichita Contract amount $558,324.50 of that, $220,000 was funded with a CDBG grant. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call.
Travel through the project is open but expects to have one-way traffic in spots for a limited time due to the installation of the storm sewer pipe and parking could be hindered at times also due to the installation of the storm sewer pipe. Please be alert to the construction traffic and be safe.
Installed more storm sewer pipe, inlets at the intersection of Ave. F and lowered several of the sewer laterals that were in the way of the storm drains. The lowering of the laterals will cause the street to be temporarily closed at the locations where they are working but the homeowners will have access to their homes from either end of the block. The contractor installing the storm sewer portion of the project had to temporarily leave the project for an emergency project for the city of McPherson. They should return before the 4th of July to resume work again. The project is moving along and again ask that all drivers be careful around the equipment working in the area.
