Lieutenant Governor Lynn Rogers currently leading the Office of Rural Prosperity Listening Tour. He will stop in Lindsborg on Wednesday, July 10, 6-7:30 p.m., at the J.O. Sundstrom Conference Center. The tour will include 12 public listening sessions designed to give Kansans the opportunity to share their thoughts during a 90-minute facilitated conversation. Each session will being with opening remarks from the Lt. Governor and a brief orientation. Attendants will then be divided into smaller groups to discuss their view of rural prosperity.The Office of Rural Prosperity is dedicated to improving life in rural Kansas and is guided by the blueprint created by Governor Kelly, Lt. Governor Rogers and Secretary of Commerce David Toland. Priorities include developing rural housing, revitalizing Main Street corridors, investing in rural infrastructure, supporting rural hospitals and medical professional recruitment, making state government work for rural Kansas, incentivizing active tourism and supporting agribusiness.“The governor and I recognize the needs of our rural communities are unique, an there is no one-size-fits-all approach,” said Lt. Governor Rogers. “We must look at a variety of multifaceted policies and programs that will empower local leaders by helping them access the resources they need.”
