The City of McPherson has contracted with Alfred Benesch & Company to conduct a drainage study focusing on the Dry Turkey Creek Basin located in the eastern portion of the City. The study was initiated to identify future projects related to watershed management and flood control. Drainage issues continue to be a concern for community leaders and residents. The Dry Turkey Creek Watershed Study will provide invaluable insight as solutions are examined.

Learn more at a public meeting on Monday, March 4, 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., at the City Commission Room, 400 E. Kansas. All residents, regardless of where they live, are encouraged to attend. Drainage issues can affect where you work, where you drive and where you live. The meeting will focus on drainage issues within the Dry Turkey Creek Basin. The City also has plans to conduct a drainage study for the Bull Creek Watershed. Details will be announced at a later date.
