The McPherson Police Department will host a free training addressing active shooter situations. The two-hour session is open to all McPherson business representatives and will focus on how to create an active shooter emergency operations plan. Instructors are FBI Special Agent Michael R. Miller and McPherson Assistant Police Chief Mikel T. Golden.The training is Wednesday, January 16, 2019, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at the Kansas Municipal Utilities (KMU) building. Seating is unlimited but registration is required to help determine print material quantities.
