CITY OF MCPHERSON PARK DEPARTMENT
The City of McPherson Park Department is located at 607 West First Street. Our business hours are Monday-Friday 7a.m.-4 p.m. We can be reached at 620.245.2565 during normal business hours.
The City of McPherson Park Department employees 6 full-time workers who maintain 14 city parks and public rights-of-way totaling approximately 300 acres. A wide range of activities are available in our city parks. Activities include fishing, swimming, picnicking, tennis, raquetball, basketball, and ice skating. There are also batting cages, baseball and softball fields, frisbee golf, jogging, fitness trails and a skateboard facility.
PARK USAGE:
Events or parties in any park shelter may be scheduled by contacting the Park Office at 620.245.2565. If you are signing a shelter for your park function, please contact the Park Office to see if it has already been requested for use by others. Weddings are welcome and we have benches for your use. The Bandshell and Plaza may be reserved by submitting a written request to the Park Department Office. Lakeside Cabin may be reserved by calling City Hall at 620.245.2535.
PARK RULES:
Metal Detectors are not allowed in any Park.
Golfing is not allowed in any Park.
Alcohol is not permitted.
No one is allowed to drive into the Parks except with approval.
