The McPherson School Year has begun. We at the McPherson Police Department are trying to ensure the safety of our children as they head back to school and would like to remind drivers to be aware of the School Zones.
If you see flashing yellow lights slow down. It is for the safety of our Children.
The minimum fine for speeding in a school zone is 72 dollars plus court cost.
Other areas to watch to protect our children.
* Watch for kids in residential areas.
* Be courteous of kids on bicycles.
* DO NOT PASS a School Bus with its stop sign extended and lights flashing.
* Watch for and OBEY the Crossing Guards.
