The McPherson Fire Department Learn Not to Burn curriculum was taught to students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd Grade in all of the U.S.D. #418 schools plus St. Joseph Catholic School and Elyria Christian School. The Fire Safety House was used in all 4th Grade classes in these schools as well as schools in surrounding towns such as Lindsborg, Inman, Canton, and Galva as well as several civic organizations. Patches and Pumper and Fire Pup visited with the pre-schoolers in McPherson either at their facility or in the fire station.
