How To Use Our Site

Our website has undergone many changes recently.  This page will help explain what the various changes are and how to find the information you are looking for.  In the event you can't find the information you need, please contact the department site manager or the web site manager at the email links at the bottom of the page.  The department site manager will probably be of more assistance in helping you quickly find specific information.

Headlines Section

This section of the web page shows a list of currently featured content on the website.  These headlines will be displayed whenever you return to the home page or when you click on a department link on the navigation menu.  When you select a department from the navigation menu, you'll only see headlines for that particular department.  When you go to the home page for the City, you'll see headlines for all departments in the City of McPherson.

Audience Selection

To assist you in finding information articles have been grouped by the intended audience.  By selecting one of the audience categories from the navigation menu, the system will show only content that is relevant to you as a resident, visitor, business, etc.

Departments

Articles for the website are stored by department.  Selecting a department from the list of departments on the left side navigation menu will display the department home page and a menu of articles created by or for that department.

Meetings & Events

This section shows a calendar of recent and upcoming events for the City of McPherson.  The calendar can be displayed in several different modes to help you find the meeting or event that you are looking for.  Below the calendar is a list of events.  Documents that are related to the event may be downloaded by clicking the related documents link below the event description.
